Georgia Ready Summer Institute

Occurring July 11-16, 2023, the Georgia Ready Summer Institute is a one-week, cohort-based residential program for high-achieving underrepresented and underserved high school students in Georgia who are entering their senior year. Applications are due by May 1st.

With an underlying focus on research and innovation, the Institute will provide students an opportunity to deepen their pre-collegiate credentials through this transformative program. As part of the experience, selected GRSI Scholars will begin exploring topics such as their desired research interests, connections between their interests and career pathways, as well as the impact research and innovation have upon entrepreneurial and commercialization endeavors across the state. Additionally, attendees will glimpse what life as a UGA scholar could be like. Through living in a campus residence hall, eating at our award-winning dining facilities, touring the Athens campus, and external research facilities – specifically our Marine Extension campus on Skidaway Island – we are confident GRSI Scholars will leave the institute UGA READY!

Fulton County Youth Commission

Fulton County Youth Commission is seeking applicants to serve within their organization. Applications are available online at http://www.fultoncountyga.gov/FCYC. Deadline for submission is May 19, 2023 by 5 p.m. Paper applications and more information is available in the Counseling Suite.
