Scheduling Timeline for Current 9th, 10th, and 11th Graders:

Be familiar with student deadlines and the timeline for the scheduling process. This document shows the whole process and help sessions in chronological order. Click here for the timeline. The timeline for rising freshmen has not been posted. This information will be communicated out after students have been enrolled at IA.

AP Night and Dual Enrollment Night on January 10th

Important Scheduling Deadlines:

  • Fri, Jan. 12 - Gifted Internship and Work-based Learning applications available via IA All Students Team.

  • Fri, Feb. 2 - Deadline for students to submit:

    • Gifted Internship Application   (Click on link to download a copy of the form; hard copy of the application due to Front Office by 4pm.)

    • WBL Applications (Click on link and complete online)

    • Course Elective Forms (date stamp & submit to counselor's box in counseling)

  • Mon, Feb. 12  - Forms made available 

    • Course Verification #1  

    • Rigor Waivers and Peer Facilitation Forms Available in counseling  

    • Senior Reduction Forms Available in counseling

  • Thurs, Feb. 22 - Deadline for students to return to counseling:

    • Course Verification #1 Due 

    • Peer Facilitation Forms Due

    • Rigor (AP/Honors) Waivers Due

  • Mon, March 4th - Course Verification #2 Handed Out to Students

  • Wed, Mar. 6th - Deadline for students to submit:​

    • Course Verification Form 2 signed by student & parent Due to counseling (Time stamp and submit to counselor "inbox")

    • WBL DocuSign Emails Due

  • Late March - Rigor Contracts must be signed for any student who is identified as having a rigorous schedule. This will be a virtual process for both parents and students to sign.

  • Wed, May 1st - Mon, May 6th 

    • Final Course Loads Sent Out

    • Final Verification for ALL STUDENTS

  • Mon, May 6th - Final Deadlines

    • Dual Enrollment Class registrations must be complete with a copy of the DE schedule submitted to your counselor

    • Summer and Fall FVS and GAVS enrollments complete

Research, Bilingual Literacy, and WBL, Internship & Peer Facilitation Information

  • Pinnacle Project and Research: Research is a requirement at IA. Learn more.  ​

  • Gifted Internship and Work Based Learning

As a reminder, starting the 2024-2025 school year, students may participate in one or the other, but NOT both.​

Gifted Internship:

  • Student applications are available to students via the IA All Students Team on Friday, January 11

  • Students must turn in a hard copy of the application by Friday, February 2 at 4PM in the designated location in the front office. Link to the Gifted Internship Application.  

  • Link to an overview of the gifted internship program.   

  • Link to a copy of a letter to gifted students.  

  • Students are required to have a teacher recommendation.

  • During the first two weeks in February, applicants will have a one-on-one interview with an internship teacher.

  • By February 23, students will be notified via email whether they have been selected and approved to be in the internship program.

Work Based Learning:

  • Work-Based Learning applications for the 2024-2025 school year will be live on teams on Friday, January 12th. The deadline to complete the application is February 2nd.  All DocuSign emails must be complete by March 6th. Interviews will take place in March. Link to WBL Application.  

Peer Facilitation:

  • Peer Facilitation is the opportunity for students to work on campus and alongside staff members in the building including both office settings or classroom settings.

  • Students will pick up an application during Course Verification #1 and find a teacher or staff member to meet and form an agreement for the year.
