The counseling team at Innovation Academy is committed to providing exemplary services including academic, social emotional, and college and career readiness support.
Our department specializes in tailoring support plans to fit students individualized needs. Using a collaborative approach, the student support team will provide for parents, students, teachers, and faculty alike.
We are excited to work alongside parents and facility members to ensure our students and IA community success.

College Dream Night (Virtual Presentation) - The Princeton Review and Innovation Academy Counseling Present: Dream College: How to choose the best-fit school for you. Held on January 25th at 7pm. Register online by the morning of January 25th and a virtual meeting link will be sent to you.

Student Leadership Johns Creek is accepting applications December 1st -January 31st for Freshmen or Sophomores. This is a two-year leadership program that will provide students with goal setting, project management and communication skills. Interested students can use the fillable link provided or pick up an application in the counseling office. All completed applications are due in the counseling office by January 31st by 4:15 pm. ACT Testing for Juniors Only - We will be giving the ACT test at Innovation Academy on March 7, 2023 for juniors only. This is a great opportunity to take the ACT free of charge during the school day. This test is not required, but all Juniors will be registered automatically. If you feel your student qualifies for accommodation and will need accommodation for this test, please fill out this form by December 9th so your requests can be processed. Keep in mind ACT.org approves all accommodation requests and not Innovation Academy. Any appeals or questions regarding accommodation should be directed directly to ACT.org/.
Mock SAT / ACT Exams for Juniors Only - IA and Applerouth will be offering mock SAT and ACT exams this semester. For more information visit our College Admissions Testing page.
Gifted TAG Internships - Check out our Student Opportunities page for more information about TAG internships and the prerequesites students need to complete before they can qualify for one.
GT Summer Computer Science Dual Enrollment - Georgia Tech Computer Science CS 1301 and CS 1331 - GT is now offering this program over the summer. The deadline to apply for summer Dual Enrollment is March 1st. To learn more about applying for Dual Enrollment, visit our Dual Enrollment web page.
HOPE GPA - If you are a junior, please check your HOPE GPA in GAFutures.org. To check your HOPE GPA, you will need to create an account in GAFutures. If you receive an error and cannot see your HOPE GPA, please take a screen shot of your error message and email IARegistrar@FultonSchools.org. Anyone who does not have a valid Social Security Number will be unable to check their HOPE GPA or qualify for the HOPE scholarship. If you have not provided Fulton County with a valid social security card, you will need to present a copy of your social security card to Brooke Jarabek in the Counseling Suite so it can be added to the system.
Parent Meetings - If you missed the parent meeting for your child's grade, please visit our Grade Level Meetings Web Page.
Junior Evaluations - Junior Evaluation Meetings will begin October 17th. Juniors will meet with their counselors one on one to review their graduation status, learn more about SAT/ACT, Georgia Student Finance Commission, and Naviance. Students will be able to start signing up for meetings October 13th by using their counselor's booking link. All juniors are expected to schedule a meeting with their counselors. College Visits - Information sessions hosted by college admissions counselors are now available at Innovation Academy. Students view and sign-up for the visits via Naviance. Admissions counselors can sign up for appointments via Rep Visits.
Applerouth Tutoring is hosting a series of free webinars for students and families. Topics include college essays, teens and anxiety, SAT v. ACT, and study skills. Go to our Student Opportunities page for more information.
